Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) president Pratibha Singh today said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah should tender an apology for his alleged objectionable remarks about Baba Saheb Ambedkar.

Pratibha, while addressing mediapersons here, said that Shah’s remarks about Ambedkar had hurt everyone. “The use of such a language against the maker of our Constitution is unacceptable and condemnable. The Congress will not tolerate insult to Ambedkar and will continue with its protest,” he added.

She said that the Congress demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should take action against Shah and remove him from the Cabinet. The Prime Minister must ask Shah to tender an apology for his remarks against Ambedkar, she added. State Mahila Congress president Jenab Chandel was also present on the occasion.
