Chandigarh, August 8
Haryana Health and Civil Aviation Minister Kamal Gupta said the Hisar Airport would soon receive its licence, following which the first flights to cities such as Ayodhya would commence.
He said the airport would be developed according to international standards. Gupta shared this information after inspecting the facilities at the Maharaja Agrasen International Airport in Hisar with the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) team.
He said an integrated marketing cluster would be developed on approximately 3,000 acres of land around the airport in Hisar. Out of which about 1,300 acres would be used to establish a mega cargo port or dry port. This will give the airport a distinct identity in the international market.
He also said a 30-year plan had been prepared for the Hisar airport. Apart from this, construction was underway for the airport on 7,200 acres of land.
