With AI , data science, India experiencing technological renaissance: Guv Shukla

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, who is also the Chancellor of Jaypee University of Information Technology, Waknaghat, today conferred degrees upon students during the university’s convocation.
He conferred gold medals on students who secured the highest Cumulative Grade Point Averages in their respective branches of MTech, MPharma, BTech and BPharma degrees for 2015 to 2020 graduating batches.
While congratulating the students, Shukla said, “Degree holders should recognise the dynamic landscape of our nation and the global stage. India is experiencing a technological renaissance with unprecedented advances in artificial intelligence (AI), data science, machine learning and other innovative fields.”
“These advancements are revolutionising industries, creating new employment opportunities and paving the way for a future rich in possibilities,” he added.
The Governor said technology and engineering were integral parts of nation-building. Engineers and scientists were the builders of modern society, driving innovation and creating solutions that meet the needs of our communities, he added. He urged the degree-holders to use their knowledge and skills to bring about positive change, building a more inclusive society and promoting sustainable development.
Pro-Chancellor Manoj Gaur was also present on the occasion. Later, Vice-Chancellor Dr RK Sharma conferred 3,125 degrees on students in the presence of the Governor, and proposed a vote of thanks.
