Western Command chief calls on Guv
Lieut-General Manoj Kumar Katiyar, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Command, recently met Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla to enhance civil-military cooperation in the region. The discussion centreed on strengthening ties between the armed forces and civil administration, especially on issues impacting the border state, such as coordination between the Rajya Sainik Board and Rashtriya Military School in Chail.
Both emphasised the importance of unified efforts to tackle shared challenges, improve security and support the development and welfare of the region. Governor Shukla expressed appreciation for the Army’s crucial assistance during natural disasters, pledging support for initiatives benefiting serving personnel and veterans.
Lt Gen Katiyar thanked the Governor for his cooperative approach, which has led to the resolution of several ongoing civil-military matters. He reiterated the Army’s commitment to continued collaboration with civil authorities and other stakeholders to address security needs and contribute to the region’s well-being. This meeting underscored the value of civil-military synergy in achieving mutual objectives, ensuring development, and enhancing regional security.
