Shimla, August 29

Vipasha stood first in the cross-country race organised at Rajkiya Kanya Mahavidyalaya (RKMV) on the occasion of National Sports Day. More than 1,000 students participated in various sports activities at the event. Suman stood second while Pooja stood third in the race. The ceremony was inaugurated by RKMV Principal Anurita Saxena, who flagged off the cross-country race.

A tug-of-war competition was held, adding an element of teamwork and strategy to the day’s activities.

The event featured matches between various student groups, and a special contest for teachers. Among the students, BA (year III) students emerged victorious in the tug-of-war competition, while, among the teachers, the faculty team of Department of Arts clinched the top spot.

RKMV Assistant Professor (Physical Education) Jitendra Thakur said the event was a huge success.
