The Kaza administration rescued 18 stranded trekkers, including one US citizen, from the Pin Parvati Pass in the Spiti valley of Lahaul and Spiti yesterday.

A rescue team, including personnel of the police, ITBP and the local administration, was dispatched immediately. “The team successfully located 18 trekkers near the Tenma Top, 18 km from Mudh village. The group consisted of one guide, nine tourists and nine porters. Due to fatigue, five tourists, four porters and the lone guide preferred to stay at the Tanma camping site.
