Two young girls died due to scrub typhus at India Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (IGMC) here late on Tuesday evening. The girls were admitted to the hospital a couple of days back and were under treatment. On Tuesday evening, their condition deteriorated and they both died. The girls are said to be from Mandi district and Kullu. Four people have died due to the scrub typhus this year. As many as 588 samples have been tested for scrub typhus so far, out of which 59 tested positive.
