Three more drug peddlers of Radhe gang arrested
In a significant crackdown on drug menace in the district, three more alleged drug peddlers associated with the ‘Radhe’ gang were arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the police.
The accused were identified as Dikshit Bhardwaj (31), a resident of Badogi village in Kumarsain tehsil, Shimla; Susheel Kumar (35), a resident of Chewadi village in Nithar sub tehsil, Kullu, and Nishant Verma (29), a resident of Nahal village in Kumarsain.
The accused were arrested from different locations by the SIT headed by Sub Divisional Police Offier (SDPO) Rampur under the supervision of Superintendent of Police (SP) Shimla Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi.
He said the accused were identified after forming ‘backward linkages’. “These peddlers were involved in sale of ‘chitta’ (heroin) in the Rampur and Kumarsain regions of Shimla district. More arrests are expected in the coming days” said Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi, SP, Shimla.
Kingpin sourced heroin from Punjab

The Radhe gang was busted after one of its peddlers was arrested from Kumarsain
- The kingpin of the gang Daleep Kumar, alias Radhe, was arrested from Baddi earlier
Radhe had been operating an inter-state drug racket for long.
He sourced heroin from suppliers in Punjab to distribute primarily in Rampur and Kumarsain
“So far, 16 accused have been arrested in this case and further investigation is underway based on forward and backward linkages” he added. The Radhe gang was busted after one of its peddlers was arrested from Kumarsain on October 17 with contraband of 47.74 gm ‘chitta’.
This led the police to arrest Daleep Kumar, alias Radhe, the alleged kingpin of this drug network, from Baddi in Solan district. Investigations revealed that Radhe had been operating an inter-state drug racket for long, sourcing heroin from suppliers in Punjab to distribute primarily in Rampur and Kumarsain.
