Himachal, Punjab taxi drivers meet Dy CM Mukesh Agnihotri, want dispute resolved

A delegation of various Himachal and Punjab Taxi Operator Unions, led by president Keval Krishan, today met Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri to discuss the ongoing rift between the taxi unions of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab and demanded its immediate resolution to maintain harmony among taxi operators in both states. During the meeting, Krishan also highlighted various pressing issues and the demands of the union.
He urged the Deputy CM to consider providing relief from the taxes imposed on tourist vehicles and ensure provision of necessary facilities and safety measures for taxi operators.
The Deputy Chief Minister assured the Punjab Taxi Operators Union to redress their issues and said that steps would be taken to resolve the issues swiftly.
The Deputy Chief Minister emphasised the importance of maintaining brotherhood among taxi operators and assured that the government was committed to supporting the taxi industry and improving the working conditions for operators.
