Tapped water to every village my priority: Kamlesh
Kamlesh Thakur said that providing tapped drinking water in every village of Dehra Gopipur is her priority. Besides, she has planned to augment the water supply schemes keeping in view the rising population.
Dehra Gopipur MLA said since the area remained a backward constituency in the past 30 years, the state government was giving special attention on its development. She said strategically, Dehra Gopipur is very important part of Kangra bordering Punjab.
She said she was aware of the development needs and aspirations of the people of Dehra and she was making efforts to rise up to the expectations of the people who had voted her to power. She disclosed that she was visiting every village with the sole objective of getting first-hand information regarding needs of the people.
Launching a scathing attack on the Opposition BJP, she said they were unnecessarily raising a hue and cry over the policies of the government. She said the BJP was a divided house without any agenda. The BJP should play the role of a healthy and effective opposition instead of indulging in mudslinging.
She said the state government headed by Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu was working with the motto of balanced development without any discrimination. She also advocated for zero tolerance against corruption in public life and assured that no corrupt officer would be spared.
She said the Congress government inherited a burden of Rs 76,000 crore from the previous BJP government. However, despite heavy odds the government had not let development take a back seat.
