Students of Himachal Pradesh University Business School Studies on Monday celebrated World Tourism Week. The event was organised with an aim to spread awareness about the importance of tourism in India and inspire youngsters to pursue a career in the tourism industry,

Nitin Vyas, Programme coordinator and professor, Institute of Vocational (Tourism) Studies, attended the programme. Delivering an insightful lecture on the unlimited opportunities in the sector, he highlighted the industry’s crucial role in promoting cultural exchange, economic development and sustainable growth.

Vyas emphasised the need for innovation, passion and dedication to make a meaningful impact in the tourism industry, encouraging students to consider the field as a career option.

To further enhance and engage students’ creativity, the week-long event included various activities such as quiz, painting, extempore speech and slogan-writing competitions, giving students a platform to showcase their talent.

Vyas said the celebration of World Tourism Week at Himachal Pradesh University proved to be a great success, inspiring students and providing them with more knowledge about the importance of tourism in India.
