Deputy Commissioner of Sirmaur, Sumit Khimta, has issued stringent security guidelines for the upcoming International Shri Renuka Ji Fair, scheduled from November 11 to November 15. This annual event, drawing pilgrims from states like Haryana, Punjab, and Uttarakhand, will see heightened security to ensure law and order.

As per the new guidelines, no individual is allowed to carry firearms, sharp weapons, sticks, or explosives within the Gram Panchayat areas of Dadahu, Khala-Kyar, and Renuka Ji, where the fair takes place. Only authorised defence and security personnel, or those with special permission for religious customs, are exempt.

In addition, offering coconuts at the Shri Renuka Ji Temple is prohibited this year to manage crowd flow and maintain safety. Legal action will also be taken against those found with alcohol within the fair’’s premises.
