A special revision of the photo voter lists to be used in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections of all five Assembly constituencies in Una district is being done on the basis of the voters’ age eligibility date of January 1, 2025.

District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal said in a communiqué that the draft of the photo voter lists had been published for every polling station in Una district and was available for scrutiny at the offices of the Electoral Registration Officers and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers, besides the Booth Level Officer.

Jatin Lal said claims or objections regarding the photo voter lists could be filed by the public till November 28, adding that special campaigns would be run on November 9, 10, 23 and 24, while the date for settling the public claims and objections had been fixed for December 24. After this, the final publication of photo voter lists would be done on January 6, 2025, he said.

The DC said during this period, all eligible citizens whose age will be 18 or more on January 1, 2025, could get their names registered in the voter list. Besides, any rectification in the voter list could be done by submitting applications on appropriate format Form 6, 6A, 7 and 8 to the designated booth level officers. He said new names could also be added into the voter lists by calling on free telephone service number 1950 of the election department’’’’s call center from 10 am to 5 pm on working days. He added that amendments in the voter lists could be confirmed on the departmental website ‘CEO Himachal.nic.in’.

Jatin Lal said the facility of e-registration was also available on Voter Helpline Mobile App VHA and National Voter Service Portal (NVSP) in which online forms could be filled through the Internet. He appealed to all residents of the district, local political parties and social organisations to inspect the photo voter lists published in the draft and extend their full cooperation in registering the names of eligible persons and deleting the names of ineligible persons from the voter list.
