On the occasion of the Constitution Day, special meetings of gram sabhas will be held in every panchayat of Una district on Tuesday (November 26). In an official press release, Una Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal said quiz and discussions on topics such as community participation, constitutional values, linking of rural women with self-help groups and capacity building of the rural folk would be held.

The Deputy Commissioner called upon all residents of the district to participate in special gram sabha meetings. He said all elected members of the panchayati raj institutions should ensure their presence and participation at meetings in their respective areas.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
