Agaan Lalit Kumar and Rudransh Jindal, students of St Edwards School, Shimla, recently won the third prize in Group A and Group B, respectively, of a national painting competition.

Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar felicitated the winners of the competition during the National Energy Conservation Awards 2024 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

The Vice-President gave a cash prize of Rs 30,000 and a laptop each to both the students. While Agaan is a Class VII student, Rudransh studies in Class X.

The national-level competition was organised for selected winners in Category-A and Category-B from all states of the country under the national campaign on energy conservation.

Minister of State for Power and New and Renewable Energy Shripad Naik, Power Secretary Pankaj Agarwal and senior officials were among those present at the event.

SJVN honoured

On the occasion, SJVN was bestowed with the State-wise Nodal Officer Appreciation Certificate. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel), SJVN, congratulated the winners for their creativity.

He expressed pride in SJVN’s role in promoting energy conservation through the creative expression of youth.
