Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla today inaugurated the Shimla Flying Festival and Hospitality Expo-2024 at Junga, near Shimla. Around 40 participants from different parts of the state were participating in the event that would conclude on October 19.

The Governor encouraged parents to motivate their children to participate in adventure activities like paragliding, which would contribute to the success of such festivals and boost adventure tourism in the state. “Shimla is well acclaimed across the globe.

This event will benefit the local tourism industry and bring economic growth to the region,” he added.

He expressed concern about the growing drug menace in the state and appealed to everyone to work together to keep the youth away from it. “The police alone cannot tackle the issue and every section of society need to contribute to rooting out this evil,” he added.
