An annual function was organised at Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Sidhpur, in Dharamsala, on Friday. Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation Chairman RS Bali was the chief guest on the occasion. An alumnus of the school, Bali felt nostalgic while remembering his days at the institution.

Congratulating the school management and the sisters of charity for their tireless contribution not only in enhancement of academics, but also for the holistic growth of students, he announced a personal contribution of Rs 21 lakh for the school.

Shalini Agnihotri, Superintendent of Police, Kangra, was the guest of honour at the function. Sister Gracy, school principal, spoke about achievements and growth, which the institution had accomplished, since its inception in the year 1961. She talked about environmental protection for making the planet healthier.

Cultural events presented by children during the function resonated on the theme “Education for planet, peace and progress”. Students of Class III showcased the magical grace of the nature and the need to save the environment.

The choir of young musicians, which played different instruments, was accompanied by songs by boys and girls, who sang songs and stole the show.
