Rs 5 crore to be spent on improving roads in Ghumarwin: Rajesh Dharmani
Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani has announced that approximately Rs 5 crore would be spent on the construction and improvement of roads in the rural areas of the Ghumarwin Assembly constituency.
An allocation of Rs 30 lakh was approved for the repair of the road from Jhuggi to Barota, Rs 17 lakh for the Ballu-Chhibbar road, Rs 15 lakh for the link road to Phevari village, and Rs 80 lakh for the road construction and drainage systems of roads in Harlong, Maharan and Tyun Khas villages, he added.
Dharmani added that Rs 17 lakh were sanctioned for the link road to Kharla Devi village, while Rs 16 lakh had been approved for the road from NH-103 to Baddoo village and the DSP office in Ghumarwin.
The government had sanctioned Rs 75 lakh for the development of the link road from Kargoda to Seer Khu, he added.
He said Rs 1.62 crore would be spent on improvement of the link road from Dhingu to Sukri, and that would include works like construction of retention walls, drains, parapet and footpath, among others.
He said apart from basic infrastructure development, the government was working on improving the quality of education in the state.
He added that Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu had laid special emphasis on the improvement of health and medical facilities in the state.
