Revenue courts resolve 3,919 cases in Mandi district
Revenue courts have proven to be a significant milestone in the timely resolution of revenue-related matters. The speed of handling such cases has increased, especially during the last two days of each month. In November 2024, a total of 3,919 cases were resolved by revenue courts in Mandi district.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Apoorv Devgan said, “As per the state government’s directive, revenue courts are held monthly in Mandi district to ensure swift and timely resolution of cases, bringing solution on people’s doorstep. In November, these courts resolved 2,660 cases related to intkal and 382 khasra divisions, 776 cases of boundary demarcation and 101 cases of revenue record corrections.”
The DC asserted that there would be no tolerance for any delays in resolving revenue cases. The DC directed revenue officials to ensure timely disposal of all cases. Besides, surprise inspection of revenue offices are being conducted regularly.
Beneficiaries of these revenue courts expressed their gratitude towards Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for improving the resolution system. Residents including Dalip Rao from Upper Barot in Saraghat, Ramesh Kumar from Badoi in Padhar, Mukesh Kumar from Chachyot, Bahadaru from Masog village in Sundernagar, Prem Lata from Nihari, Jagdish from Serla Khabu, and Darshana Devi from Pangna, along with hundreds of others, appreciated the timely resolution of their revenue-related matters through revenue Lok Adalats held in November this year.
