Mandi Deputy Commissioner Apoorv Devgan, who is also the Chairperson of the District Disaster Management Authority, said due to road widening and blasting activities on the National Highway-21, between Nerchowk and Pandoh, including the Pandoh bypass area, a temporary restriction on vehicle movement will be imposed in certain areas.

The road construction company concerned has requested limited closure of the road for safety reasons. As per the order issued by the District Magistrate, vehicle movement will be restricted from 12.30 am to 2.30 am, from December 19 to 28 at designated locations on the highway.

“During the restricted hours, vehicles travelling from Mandi to Kullu will be halted at Bindrawani, and vehicles travelling from Kullu to Mandi will be stopped near Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Pandoh. Alternative routes for travellers will be available,” the order reads.
