The crossing point near St Thomas School in Ram Bazaar, adjacent to the Army Training Command (ARTRAC), has become a hotspot for accidents. In a recent incident, Vidhupriya Chakraborty, the Principal of St Thomas School, found her leg trapped in a gap between the road and a grill, causing her immense pain and distress for nearly an hour. Local residents managed to free her safely after an hour-long struggle, by cutting the grill. This is not the first such incident at this spot. The area, frequented by students, school staff and the general public, has witnessed multiple accidents in the past. Despite repeated occurrences, the administration has failed to take corrective measures.
