‘Rally of Himalayas’ flagged off at Sissu in Lahaul-Spiti
The fourth edition of the “Rally of Himalayas” was flagged off yesterday at the Sissu Helipad Ground in Lahaul and Spiti district. Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar, flagged off the rally having participants across various categories. This event aims at promoting sustainable tourism in the Lahaul-Spiti district and strengthening employment opportunities for local youth.

73 bikers and 23 four-wheeler drivers will navigate from Manali through the Rohtang Pass to Losar and Kaza and return to Manali over three days
The Deputy Commissioner emphasised the immense potential for adventure tourism in the region, noting that such events can significantly enhance the economic stability of those connected with the tourism industry. He highlighted the rally’s role in putting the district’s untouched areas on the global tourism map. Himalayas Extreme Motorsports president Suresh Rana announced that 73 bikers and 23 four-wheeler participants will navigate the challenging route from Manali through the Rohtang Pass to Losar and Kaza, returning to Manali over three days.
The event was also attended by Assistant Commissioner Sankalp Gautam, along with other officials and numerous tourists, all eager to witness the excitement of this thrilling motorsport rally.
