State BJP president Rajeev Bindal has withdrawn a defamation case filed against Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Vikramaditya Singh and others from the High Court of Himachal.

The advocate appearing for Bindal stated that the parties had reached a compromise in the matter. He also produced a compromise deed in this regard before the court. Justice Rakesh Kainthla ordered that “in view of this, the plaintiff is permitted to withdraw the suit”. Bindal had alleged that that defendants had posted a series of imputations on their Facebook accounts. Bindal had filed a defamation case against Vikramaditya and two other Congress leaders.
