‘Prepare action plan for conservation of kuhls’

Kangra Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa has directed the officials of departments concerned to prepare an action plan for the conservation of traditional drinking water sources and Kuhls so that people can get better facilities for drinking water and irrigation.

Presiding over the review meeting of development works in Nagrota Bagwan on yesterday, Bairwa said officers of Jal Shakti, Rural Development and Forest departments had been instructed to prepare an action plan for developing infrastructure at various levels for drinking water conservation. The smooth implementation of public welfare schemes and programmes run by the government should be ensured so that eligible people could be benefited, he added.

He said officers should also ensure regular inspection of development works and work with promptness to complete the set targets on time. He also inquired about the status of development works of various departments, including Revenue, Education and Rural Development.
