State Congress president Pratibha Singh has demanded a probe by Ja oint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) into the arrest warrant issued against Gautam Adani by a US court. “It’s a serious issue and should be probed by a Joint Parliamentary Committee so that the whole country comes to know about the truth in the matter,” she said.

Pratibha said that the Congress had been raising questions since long on the functioning of Adani, but neither the investigating agencies took note, nor the government ordered a probe. “Now, with the arrest warrant issued by the US court after alleged bribery scandal, it is clear that Adani has been involved in securities fraud,” she alleged.

Pratibha said that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had been demanding an investigation into Adani’s securities fraud and his alleged links with SEBI, but no action had been initiated against him due to his connections “with the BJP”. She also backed Gandhi’s demand for the removal of the SEBI chief from her post and immediate arrest of Adani.
