A day after the High Court of Himachal Pradesh set aside the appointment of six Chief Parliamentary Secretaries (CPS), state Congress president Pratibha Singh said today that the judgment would not affect the stability of the government in any manner.

Pratibha, while speaking to mediapersons, said, “Now, the government will have to see how to handle the situation but there’s certainly no threat to the government.” She, however, refused to comment on whether the government should challenge the decision in the Supreme Court.

About the reconstitution of the HPCC, Pratibha said she would shortly visit New Delhi to initiate the reconstitution process. “I will meet the high command and state in-charge Rajeev Shukla regarding the reconstitution of the HPCC. The PCC executive committee will be finalised after discussions with Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri and other senior leaders,” she added.
