Shimla, June 30

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur’s announcement to open one electricity circle, 11 divisions and 13 sub-divisions under Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL) was implemented in the HPSEBL Board of Directors meeting, headed by Additional Chief Secretary (Power) RD Dhiman.

In another decision, the service criteria for the promotion for sub-station attendant (Non ITI) to the posts of foreman and junior engineer sub-station has been reduced from 10 years to seven years.

For smooth functioning of 66/22 KV power sub-stations at Hatkoti, Andhra and Nogli, 30 new posts of sub-station and field technical category have been created.

At the meeting, a decision was also taken to rectify the pay anomalies of the employees working in the board. The pay scales of eligible employees have been increased from 2012 on the lines of Punjab Power Corporation Limited. With this, the long-standing demand of the employees has also been fulfilled. HPSEBL MD Pankaj Dadwal said the board was determined to provide smooth power supply to the consumers.
