Over 200 farmers take part in training camps in Kinnaur
Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Agricultural University, Palampur, organised three training camps for farmers and gardeners of Kinnaur district. Useful information was provided to farmers on potential crops so that they could improve their economy.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Naveen Kumar said three training camps were organised for farmers of Sugara, Chagaon and Sapni panchayats of Kinnaur district under a project funded by the Government of India.
Dr Gopal Katana, Principal Scientist, Department of Organic Agriculture and Natural Farming, Project Director (ATMA) Dr Ritesh Gupta & Deputy Project Director (ATMA) Dr Rajendra Chaudhary from the Agriculture Department provided detailed information on various agricultural production techniques, conservation and new varieties to the farmers.
Dr Katana said over 200 farmers registered their presence in these three training camps. Pradhan Rakesh Kumar of Sugara Panchayat, Pradhan Kanta Devi of Chagaon and deputy pradhan Pyaar Chand of Sapni provided important support in organising these camps.
