Over 1K families to get pucca houses in Kutlehar, says MLA
Kutlehar MLA Vivek Sharma today said 1,027 families belonging to the weaker sections of society would be provided funds for the construction of brisk masonry houses in the Assembly constituency during the current financial year and that a sum of Rs 15.4 crore would be spent on the activity.
Speaking at Samoor Kalan village after distributing cheques to the beneficiaries as the first instalment for the construction of houses, the MLA said during his first 100 days as representative of the segment, pace of development activities had increased considerably. Besides, he said he had called upon all department officers to ensure that the benefits of all government schemes reached the last person in the queue.
The MLA said work had been initiated to develop an industrial area in Momaniar village of Kutlehar segment and 300 kanals of land had been earmarked for the purpose. He said a detailed project report was being sent to the government for approval.
Vivek Sharma said a solar power project had been proposed by the government at Aghlor village of the Assembly segment and a sum of Rs 17 crore would be spent on it.
The Congress leader said Androuli village situated on the banks of Gobind Sagar Lake in Kutlehar segment was being developed as a water sports and tourism hub, for which Rs 12.5 crore had been sanctioned by the state government. He said a winter carnival would be organised at Androuli from December 25 to 31.
