Hamirpur: NIT students offered salaries over Rs 1 crore

Students of the National Institute of Technology brought laurels to the institute as they were offered high salary packages by international companies during the campus placement drive held recently.
Nishant Hada of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering grabbed a package of Rs 1.51 crore from Bloomberg company of the USA while Sabhya Sood of Computer Science and Electronics Engineering was offered a package of Rs 1.09 crore from Amazon of the United Kingdom.
Dr Lalit Awasthi, director of the institute, said as many as 11 students were hired by Amazon India at a package of Rs 32 lakh and 50 more students were offered a package of Rs 16 lakh and above by organisations like Mathworks, Texas Instruments, Siemens Healthineers, Avalara, Paytm, Samsung, Increff etc.
He said the placement session of NIT for the batch of 2021-22 was held in July. He said despite the pandemic, over 60 companies had conducted their recruitment drive through online mode till now.
Around 330 students from different B.Tech/Dual Degree Engineering Programmes were placed in reputed organisations in the first three months
of placement session,
