Yash Upadhyay, a fourth-year student of BTech (Engineering Physics) and Photonics Science, National Institute of Technology (NIT) here, has been selected to participate in the 2024 New York University Abu Dhabi Hackathon for Social Good, focusing on quantum computing and the United Nations sustainable development goals, according to NIT Director HM Suryawanshi.
He said the hackathon would be held in Abu Dhabi from April 25 to 28. Suryawanshi said the event was supported by quantum computing experts such as the ETH Zurich in Quantum Information, Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator Xanadu.

He added that the Hackathon would cover the cost of Upadhyay’s air travel, visa charges, and boarding and lodging expenses.
