NIRF 2024: IIT-Mandi ranks 8th in innovation category

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Mandi, secured the eighth position in the innovation category of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024, conducted by the Union Ministry of Education.

A spokesperson for the IIT-Mandi said Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan yesterday announced the results of the ninth edition of the NIRF India Rankings in New Delhi.

“Besides the innovation category, the institute has also made notable progress in other areas. The IIT-Mandi has improved its rankings to 31 in the engineering category and 72 in the overall category this year,” he added.

IIT-Mandi Registrar Dr Kumar Sambhav Pandey said, “We are thrilled to see IIT Mandi achieve the eighth position in the innovation category of the NIRF 2024. The recognition reflects our dedication to fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among our students and faculty. We are committed to pushing boundaries and contributing meaningfully to the nation’s technological advancements and innovation ecosystem.”
