New PWD circle office notified for Dehra Gopipur

The Himachal Pradesh Government has issued a notification for the opening of a new circle office of the Public Works Department (PWD), headed by a Superintending Engineer, at Dehra Gopipur.
As per the notification, three PWD divisions — Dehra Gopipur, Jwalamukhi and Bhed Kotla — have been attached with the new circle.
Earlier, these divisions were attached with the Nurpur PWD circle. The new circle of PWD has been attached with Chief Engineer (North Zone), Dharamsala.
The state government has also modified the jurisdictions of seven subdivisions. As per the notification, Khundian, Majhin and Jwalamukhi subdivisions have been attached with the Jwalamukhi division, while Pragpur and Dadasiba have been attached with the Bhed Kotla division. Haripur and Dehra subdivisions will be part of the Dehra division.
After Palampur and Nurpur, Dehra Gopipur will be the third PWD circle in Kangra district.
During the Dehra Assembly byelection, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu had promised that if the Congress candidate was elected the government would open new offices of Superintending Engineer and Superintendent of Police at Dehra Gopipur
