Nerwa hospital to be model health institution
Health and Family Welfare Minister Dhani Ram Shandil on Tuesday said Nerwa Hospital would be made a model health institution so that better health facilities could be made available to the people.
The minister today attended the closing ceremony of the three-day Nerwa Utsav as the chief guest. He said efforts would be made to fill vacant lying posts in the health institutions in Chopal within two months so that better health facilities could be made available to the villagers at their doorstep.
He inspected the Chopal and Nerwa civil hospitals and took stock of the health services there. “Nerwa is the central point of this Assembly constituency and there is a lot of movement of people here. As per the demand of the people, Nerwa Hospital will be made an ideal health institution,” he said. The state government had given permission to fill the posts of 622 staff nurses and 200 doctors in the Health Department, he said.
Shandil said the government was committed to strengthening the health facilities in the Chopal Assembly constituency and all demands would be fulfilled in time. He said the post of radiologist, along with ultrasound machines, would be filled soon in Chaupal and Nerwa hospitals so that the people of the area could get its benefits. The minister also announced to give Rs 20 lakh as the first installment for the construction of the building of Pulvahal Primary Health Centre.
