Rubbishing speculation about dislodging any leader, state Congress president Pratibha Singh today said there should be better coordination between the party organisation and the government.

Talking to mediapersons here today, she said right from Day One, she has been stressing the need for coordination between the government and party. “I will personally talk to the Chief Minister about having good coordination. There is no question of dislodging anyone from any post,” she said.

Pratibha today held a meeting with the 12 observers appointed by the AICC for the reconstitution of the state Congress. Besides AICC secretary and co-incharge of state affairs Chetan Chauhan, observers of the four parliamentary constituencies — Shantanu Chauhan (Kangra), Gurpreet Gandhi (Hamirpur), Omveer Yadav (Shimla) and Gaurav Bhatia (Mandi) — were present at the meeting. Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh was also present.

“We are hopeful that the new team of the Congress and the state body will be constituted by the New Year,” she said. She said the observers appointed by the AICC would visit all the districts and take feedback from party workers about who should be entrusted responsibilities in the organisation.

“We are keen that party workers who will work dedicatedly for the strengthening of the party are given responsibility so that the Congress gains strength,” she said.
