Nahan gets new judicial complex
The judiciary and residents of Sirmaur district celebrated a significant milestone on Tuesday with the inauguration of enhanced facilities at the judicial complex in Nahan. Acting Chief Justice of the Himachal Pradesh High Court, Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan, inaugurated the upgraded infrastructure via video conferencing, including additional court buildings and residential quarters for judicial officers.
The new facilities aim to streamline judicial operations by consolidating essential services under one roof. Amenities such as ATMs, a bank, a crèche, and a dispensary are now available within the complex, benefiting residents, members of the Bar Association, and judicial officers alike.
In his address, Justice Chauhan highlighted the importance of these upgrades in improving efficiency and accessibility. He urged timely completion of the judicial complex and residential quarters, underscoring the need for modern infrastructure in judicial processes.
District and Sessions Judge, Justice Hansraj, noted that approximately Rs 10 crore has been allocated for constructing the additional court building, while over Rs 2 crore has been dedicated to building residential quarters. He stated that the integrated facilities will enhance convenience for both judicial officers and the public.
