The Weather Department has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorm and lightning at isolated places in the state tomorrow. There is a forecast for light rain at a few places in the low and middle hills and at isolated places in high hills.

Meanwhile, 75 roads are shut across the state. The highest number of roads have been obstructed in Shimla district where 34 roads are affected. The closure of these roads will affect the transportation of apple to the mandis as the harvest season is on its peak these days. Besides, 43 power distribution transformers have also been disrupted.

Meanwhile, since Monday evening, light to moderate rain occurred at most places and a few places received intense spells of rain across the state. The highest rain was recorded in Bilaspur district, followed by Solan district. Farmers and fruits growers have been advised to keep observing the pest and disease attack on crops, which is expected in the prevailing weather conditions.
