McLeodganj area declared containment zone

Dharamsala, December 9

SDM, Dharamsala, Harish Gajju today declared the main McLeodganj area, which extends from the main crossing to the Dolma crossing, as a containment zone to prevent the spread of the infection.

The area falls under Ward No. 3 of the Dharamsala Municipal Corporation.

In the orders issued here, the SDM said 11 persons from the area had tested positive for Covid. The decision had been taken to prevent the community spread. Section 144 of the CrPC had also been imposed, the SDM added.

The entry and exit to the area would be regulated by the authorities.

The residents have been directed to stay indoors and come out only for a medical emergency. Orders have been issued to sanitise the entire area.
