Mandi administration visits Saratyola villages to address basic amenity needs
A district-level committee, formed as per the directions of the High Court, visited the remote villages of Manju and Magan under the jurisdiction of the Saratyola panchayat of the Karsog sub-division in Mandi district yesterday.
The committee, led by Additional Deputy Commissioner Rohit Rathour, was accompanied by senior officials from various departments to review basic facilities in the area.
The committee members, after a 4-hour trek covering nearly 15 km, passed through villages such as Manju Zaklin and reached Magan.
During the visit, they interacted with area residents and listened to their concerns regarding electricity, water, road access and education.

Meanwhile, Magan residents highlighted problems pertaining to electricity and roads, specifically requesting a resolution to the low voltage issue.
The ADC assured the villagers that their issues would be addressed promptly. He also inspected the Government Primary School in Manju. Following this, the committee continued its visit to the area under the Parlog panchayat, gathering residents’ feedback.
