Man detained for killing dog in Paonta Sahib

A man identified as Aas Mohammad has been detained by the police for allegedly killing a dog. The suspect, who hails from Ridi in Behat tehsil, Saharanpur district, Uttar Pradesh, was reported to have beaten up the dog to death with a stick in Kunja Matraliyo village in Paurwala of Paonta Sahib.
The police have registered a case against the accused under Section 325 of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), which pertains to voluntarily causing grievous hurt.
The act was reported by concerned villagers, who immediately alerted the authorities.
