A 20-year-old law student of Bahra University, Waknaghat, alleged being beaten up in his hostel room by a group of students who entered his room by breaking open the door from the balcony last night.

The aggrieved student Harsh Chawdhary, who hails from Hanumangarh in Rajasthan, in his complaint to the police, stated that he resided on the second floor of the junior hostel. They also abused him and threatened him not to report about the incident. He sustained injuries over his left arm, face and other parts of his body in the incident.

This is the second incident in the last few months where a student has been beaten in a hostel of the Bahra University at Waknaghat since September this year when a fresher was forced to drink and his refusal led to him being beaten up by five seniors who were in an inebriated state.
