The annual Lavi Fair will be held from November 11 to 14 at Rampur Bushahr, featuring cultural evenings and a half marathon aimed at raising awareness about anti-drug initiatives and environmental protection. The event will be inaugurated by Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, with Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu attending as chief guest on the final night.

A variety of activities will accompany the fair, including an inter-state volleyball and badminton tournament to promote a drug-free environment. The Animal Husbandry Department will organise a horse show from November 4 to 6, with participants from Kinnaur, Lahaul-Spiti and Shimla.

The fair will take place at the PG College Ground, while cultural programs will be hosted at Padam Senior Secondary School Ground. National and regional artistes will perform during the evenings, with auditions being held to select participants. Organisers aim for a zero-waste event, with an emphasis on environmental responsibility.

Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap, who chaired the planning meeting, emphasised the need to ensure a clean and enthusiastic celebration of the fair. NCC cadets from PG College Rampur will manage traffic during the event, with only those over 18 allowed to serve. They will be compensated for their services.

The fair will conclude on November 30, with all stalls being removed after the designated date.
