The Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board organised an awareness camp today at AN Vashishtha Banquet Hall, Theog, with the aim of increasing awareness about social welfare schemes. Kuldeep Singh Rathore, MLA Theog, participated in the camp as the chief guest. About 125 persons and local public representatives were given information about the schemes being provided by the Building and Construction Workers Welfare Board.

Rathore said the workers should get themselves registered with the board so that they can avail the benefits of the schemes. He appreciated the various welfare schemes being run by the Board and highlighted its positive impact on the lives of construction workers. “Social welfare schemes should reach the last person who needs them the most,” said Rathore.

Nardev Singh Kanwar, Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, said that 13 different social welfare schemes were being implemented by the Board. He requested the local representatives and people from all political backgrounds to spread awareness about these schemes so that the needy and eligible workers can get the benefits.
