Kerala man held under Arms Act, revolver seized
A Kerala native, identified as Abdul Nasif (33), was arrested by the police in connection with a case under the Arms Act yesterday. The case, registered at the Kullu police Station under FIR 252/24, involves charges under Sections 332(C) and 351(2) of the BNS and Section 25 of the Arms Act.
Kullu SP Karthikeyan Gokulachandran said the suspect was arrested after a complaint was lodged by one by Pawan Kumar, manager of a guest house at Tulga, where the suspect was staying. During investigation, the police recovered a revolver, six rounds and 43 pellets from the suspect.
“Abdul Nasif was produced before the Judicial Magistrate (First-Class) in Kullu today. The court granted a five-day police remand of the suspect, valid until September 14. Further interrogation of the suspect is underway as the investigation continues,” the SP said.
