Kayakalp Samman ceremony held at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital
The district-level Kayakalp Samman ceremony was organised at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Regional Hospital under the chairmanship of Shimla Chief Medical Officer (CMO)

The in-charges of 46 Kayakalp Award winning health facilities in Shimla district were awarded with appreciation certificates. CMO informed that Deen Dayal Upadhyay Regional Hospital, Civil Hospital Sunni, 25 Primary Health Centre (PHC), 18 Health and Wellness Centers-Sub Centers received Kayakalp Award for exemplary performance in the field of infection control, hygiene and cleanliness as well as promoting eco-friendly environment in Shimla district.
PHC Basantpur was adjudged as the best Primary Health Centre, UPHC Annadale as the best urban PHC and Kirvi Health Welfare Centre as the best HWC sub-centre in the district. Appreciation certificates were given to CHOs and health workers of 12 HWC certified by the state under National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) for providing quality health services as per the norms specified by Government of India.
The CMO urged Block Medical Officers to continue their efforts. He also appreciated the efforts of Dr Akanksha Sood, District Advisor, Quality Assurance, for providing technical support to the health facilities for the implementation of NQAS and Kayakalp initiative. — TNS
