Kangra resident gets premier bank posting in Switzerland

Prashant Thakur, a resident of Tatehal village, about 10 km from Palampur in Kangra district, has been appointed associate director in the Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS), one of the biggest banks of the world.

Satish Sharma, a resident Panchrukhi, said it was a matter of great joy and pride for Tatehal that the elder son of Rajkumar Thakur had got this job through his hard work and dedication. He had become a source of inspiration to the youth of the village and its surrounding areas. Residents of the village had congratulated Prashant and his parents, he said. Prashant studied in Mount Carmel School and then obtained BTech degree and later worked as an IT trainee in Tech Mahindra after campus placement. After this, he worked as a manager in reputed companies like HCL and Cvent. Prashant gives the credit for his success to his parents and kin for facilitating his education.
