Students from Government Senior Secondary School, Kaffota, located in the remote Trans-Giri region of Sirmaur district, have once again showcased their sporting talent. Sporting talent

Two students have achieved exceptional milestones in state-level sports competitions, earning the opportunity to represent their state at the national level.

Ritu Tomar, a ninth-grade student, won the gold medal in wrestling at the state-level under-17 competition held in Ghumarwin, Bilaspur, in the 40 kg weight category. Her impressive performance secured her a spot in the upcoming national championships. Ritu, a resident of Khajuri in Dugana Panchayat, has previously represented her state at the national level and continues to shine. She is the daughter of Som Prakash Tomar and Lajo Devi and has become a source of pride for her family and school.

In another achievement for Kaffota school, Shruti Sharma, a talented under-14 handball player, earned her place in the national-level handball competition. Shruti participated in the state-level handball tournament held in Sunni, Shimla, where she represented Sirmaur district. Her remarkable performance led to her selection for the national handball team, bringing pride not only to her school but also to the entire region.
