Industries Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan today urged teachers and parents to inculcate values in the young generation, as per their culture. “Only value-based education can help the youth become responsible citizens.”

Chauhan said that the state government was committed to providing quality education to every child of the state. He was addressing a gathering after inaugurating a building of Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Nalagarh, renovated at a cost of Rs 25 lakh.

Chauhan said that Solan district had earned a special identity as an industrial area in the country. “A medical device park is being constructed at Ghid and Teliwal villages in Manjholi gram panchayat of Nalagarh subdivision. The construction of the park will provide employment opportunities to the youth.”

He said that Sun Pharma had spent about Rs 12 lakh under the CSR scheme on the renovation of the school building. He assured the gathering that necessary steps would be taken to upgrade Government Primary School up to Class VIII. He also planted a sapling on the school premises.
