The Himachal Pradesh Housing and Urban Development Authority (HIMUDA) has approved the one-time settlement (OTS) scheme for those who have not been able to make timely payments for their properties or build their homes, and consequently, have not been able to take possession. This scheme will remain effective till April 24, 2025. The decision was taken during the 54th meeting of the HIMUDA that was held recently.

As per the officials, during the OTS period, a non-construction fee of 1% per annum will be applied on all pending dues during the period of OTS. A reduced penal interest rate of 4% per annum, instead of the usual 12%, will be charged on defaulted installments. Additionally, monitoring and ward fee will be reduced to 0.1% per month, instead of the usual 0.2% per month.

HIMUDA has appealed interested people to visit its official website to fill up the form for the same.
