Himachal Pradesh University extends last date for admissions

Himachal Pradesh University today extended the last date for admission to various undergraduate and Shastri courses till September 12.

The decision was taken to facilitate students who were not able to get admission to various undergraduate courses within the previous stipulated time. The university had been receiving requests from various students as well as student organisations within the university. The students had claimed that there were many students across the state who were not able to get admission to undergraduate courses due to various reasons.

As per a notification issued by the university, the admissions will remain open in all government and private colleges affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University.

The Vice-Chancellor, through this order, has directed all principals of all colleges to accept the admission applications from students till September 12, according to the provisions of the Himachal Pradesh University Ordinance.

The university had already extended the last date twice in August. Initially, it was extended till August 14 and for the second time till August 31. The admission process in all colleges across the state had started in June.
